Scriptwriting

Want a script that educates and entertains? Makes people laugh? Catches their attention and doesn't let it go?

I can do that for you.

I began my professional writing life as a scriptwriter. People saw my plays and videos and asked if I could write other work (of course I said yes).  I have a Screenwriting degree from the Scottsdale School of Film and Theatre, and have written:

  • Advertising scripts (TV and radio) for Mazda, The United Way of Arizona, First American Credit Union, and others.

  • PSAs for The Arizona Governor's Office on Developmental Disabilities and ABLE (now Ability 360). The latter won an award from the Arizona Chapter of the Media Communication Association International.

  • Training videos for The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,  The Smithsonian  Institution, and ABLE.

  • Educational scripts for Educational Management Group (Pearson Prentice Hall)

  • Over a dozen plays, produced at the Herberger Lunchtime Theater, The Exotic Art Show, Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Department, and various art galleries.

  • Murder mystery plays for conventions and fundraisers.

  • Screenplays. Out West was produced, and gained entry to the Phoenix Out Far Film Festival, Fate Happens  won first place for Screenwriting in the Scottsdale Motion Picture/Television, Film & Video Festival, and As Time Goes By  won the Actors’ Choice Award at the Screenwriting Conference at Santa Fe.

And, my new holiday farce, "Have Yourself a Murder-y Little Christmas" was a hit at the 2024 Fertile Ground Festival, and is now available to theatre groups big and small! Contact me for details.
